Malaga is at the centre of Costa del Sol, and its international airport is the main point of arrival for visitors, with connections to many UK airports.

There are also flights from the UK to Gibraltar, about 90 miles from Malaga. In addition, Ryanair now operates cheap flights from Stansted to Jerez, which is approximately 135 miles from Malaga.

By Train

There is a train service from Malaga Airport, but at the moment it only goes as far west as Fuengirola. If you wish to travel as far as Marbella, you should catch a bus or take a taxi. Work is underway to link the train service to all major destinations, such as Marbella and Seville.

Trains travel from Malaga Airport to the City every half an hour from 7am until midnight. Trains to Fuengirola leave every half hour from 6am until 11pm. Train fares are not expensive. Expect to pay up to €2 (about £1.40) for a single fare.
